About Richard Sanders, Marriage Counselor in Brentwood and Franklin, TN

Richard guides people through the most challenging moments in their marriage.

Richard Sanders holds a Masters in Marriage Counseling and Family Therapy, a Masters in Divinity, and a Doctorate in Ministry. Richard has been trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, The Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and Collaborative Couples Therapy. After thirty years of parish ministry, he retired to pursue the gift of helping others as a marriage counseling. Richard’s life experiences grant him wisdom, patience, and profound respect for the struggles that all of us marriages go through.

Richard Sanders has been married for thirty years and is a proud father of a son and daughter. He is an outdoor enthusiast and guides Canadian wilderness canoe trips, hiking the Grand Teton Mountain in Wyoming, leading Spanish mission trips to Honduras, and fly-fishing in Montana. I play the guitar, scuba dive, and am always ready for an adventure.

I hold a Tennessee State License, #1325, in Marriage and Family Therapy.
